Perspective — Shared adversity can foster a sense of community and an affinity with others that can be masked in normal times. This pandemic has the potential to change society for the better, if we are able to seize the opportunity.
Power of Nature — Nature, in the form of a tiny virus, is changing how we live, work and play. The virus — like earthquakes, floods, and other natural disasters — is reminding us that humans are also part of the natural world.
Power of Connection — Heroism has emerged among frontline health workers, cleaners, delivery drivers, cashiers, refuse collectors, and volunteers. This pandemic has created webs of giving and receiving.
Opportunity for Reflection — This pandemic gives us a unique opportunity to look at our lives and at what we have done so far. We will likely find both contentment and regret. Hopefully we will also find areas where we can change for the better.
Appreciation — Heartfelt appreciation provides sustenance for another day, especially in turbulent times. I have found appreciation for the Wikk team, silent heroes and family.
I would like to personally thank the employees and customers who have made Wikk successful for over 40 years. Altruism is alive and well throughout the United States with Americans continually demonstrating selfless acts for the well-being of others. We are not over this yet, but we have made fantastic progress.
Stay safe!
